What “comfort-back” actually means

The ZH410’s defining feature is its hybrid fabric construction. The front panel is 100% polyester — a requirement for the bright fluorescent hi-vis colour and AS/NZS compliance, since natural fibres don’t hold the fluorescent dye at the intensity the standard requires. The back panel is a 50% polyester / 35% Tencel / 15% cotton blend — and that’s where the comfort comes from. Tencel (lyocell) is a natural fibre derived from wood pulp that is significantly softer, more breathable, and more moisture-absorbent than polyester. When you combine that with cotton in the back panel, the result is a garment that keeps the polyester where it’s needed for visibility and compliance, and puts the natural, breathable fabric where it’s in constant contact with the worker’s skin across the back and shoulders. If your crew wears hi-vis every day in warm Australian conditions, the ZH410 is the right garment — the difference to all-polyester styles is immediately noticeable.

UPF 50+ and compliance specifications

The ZH410 complies with AS/NZS 4399:2017 for UPF 50+ sun protection — important for outdoor trades workers spending full shifts in direct sun. The hi-vis front panel meets AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 fluorescent fabric requirements and the overall garment meets AS/NZS 4602.1:2011 Class D for day-only hi-vis environments. Available in Yellow/Navy and Orange/Navy colourways in sizes XXS to 5XL, 7XL. If your site requires Day/Night (Class D/N) compliance, look at the ZH415 or ZH380 with retroreflective tape.
